Our staff utilizes a mix of therapy modalities in treating our patients. Patients can expect a wide variety of process groups that help them explore the many facets of their lives as it relates to their mental health. These groups include anger management, communication, diagnosis education, distress tolerance, grief/loss, mindfulness, relaxation training, social skills training, medication management education, nutritional education, and more. Activity therapy is also central to our programming, such as physical activities, stretching, relaxation techniques, arts and crafts, and team building activities. Activity therapy also uses our indoor gym and outside areas for daily activities.
For patients coming to us with previous trauma, we take a trauma-informed care approach, educating patients on the impact that traumatic experiences and damaging relationships have on physical, mental, emotional, spiritual, and economic well being. All patients participate in our S.E.L.F. Group, which focuses on safety, emotion, loss, and building healthy futures. The group educates patients on how to heal from traumatic experiences. Our staff is trained in trauma-informed care, allowing us to provide specialized and targeted care.
