Dr. Mayra Abelleira currently serves as Medical Director and Attending Psychiatrist for the inpatient hospitalization and outpatient programs at Palm Point Behavioral Health. Dr. Abelleira completed her medical degree and residency in Psychiatry at the University of Puerto Rico School of Medicine. She was named Chief Resident during her senior year of residency. She served as an attending psychiatrist at the State Hospital in San Juan and a private outpatient and partial hospitalization clinic. Dr. Abelleira also served as an ad honorem Professor of the Psychiatric Residency Program at the University of Puerto Rico. In that role, she offered supervision and training for medical students as well as residents. She is currently a Diplomate of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.
Dr. Sajid Hafeez is a child and adolescent psychiatrist. He received his adult psychiatry and residency training at the University of Kansas Medical Center in Kansas City. He received his Child and Adolescent Psychiatry fellowship training at the New York Medical College and Children’s National Medical Center of George Washington University in Washington, D.C.
Dr. Robert Nastasi is a psychiatry specialist in Melbourne, Florida. He graduated with honors from the State University of New York Health Science Center of Syracuse in 2008. Dr. Nastasi has over ten years of experience.
Dr. Joseph Llinas is a psychiatrist in Cocoa Beach, Florida and is affiliated with multiple hospitals in the area. He received his medical degree from Universidad Central del Caribe School of Medicine and has been in practice for more than 20 years.
Dr. Mehta is a Board Certified Adult Psychiatrist and currently serves as Service Line Director for our inpatient Mature Adult Unit at Palm Point Behavioral Health. He brings over 40 years of experience to our facility and specializes in General Psychiatry, as well as Addiction Psychiatry. Dr. Mehta maintains a private outpatient practice in the community.
James A. Miller, JR., M.D.
Dr. Miller is a Board Certified Psychiatrist who recently joined the medical staff at Palm Point Behavioral Health. Dr. Miller will be seeing both Inpatient and Outpatient services. Dr. Miller received his medical degree from the Universidad Autonoma de Guadalajara, Facultad de medicina. Dr. Miller completed the Firth Pathway Program at the University of Maryland School of Medicine and a Psychiatry Residency at the Universty of South Florida, Tampa. With over 38 years of experience, Dr. Miller has held many respectable roles including Medical Director, Staff Psychiatrist, Private Practice Psychiatrist, and Research Lead Investigator, and is an integral part of the psychiatric community. Dr. Miller has several publications, years of research experience, and has received many honors including Outstanding leadership, Chief Resident at the University of South Florida Department of Psychiatry, and Chairman for Texas Residents at the Universidad Autonoma de Guadalajara School of Medicine.
